Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone had an awesome week and is enjoying some days off. I love Sundays, it seems like they are becoming my creative day. Today I'm presenting you my very first hair post. I am by no means a professional hair stylist, so if I can do this kind of stuff, everyone should be. But first some interesting history about my hair (I swear it is worth reading).
I was born with brown hair. At the beginning it was very curly, then somehow it got straight and silky. When I was around 14, I colored my hair for the first time. And oh boy, I was hooked. Nowadays I am known as the hair-chamelion. I've had:
- black hair
- blue hair
- blonde hair (about 2 twice)
- short hair
- long hair
- extensions
- purple hair
- grey hair
- red hair
Don't believe me? I selected a couple pictures of proof for you
Did I promise too much? 😀 So last year, after repeatedly dying my hair brown, I wanted to have it light again. This story basically ended in a tragic bleach fail. I went to the salon and got it fixed. For some weird reason, I felt like want to try half of the rainbow colors on my head. So after getting that urge satisfied, I often had to cut my hair, because... yes... much colors, such damage, very fried.
Then I felt like having hair again (typical me). So I did my research on Google and found that clip-in extensions are the best solution for me.
Having ordered already quite a few products from China on Ebay, I went to look for some on there, since I could not really afford the ones sold in Switzerland. So far I've never been disappointed by the products I got, so why not give it a try? I ordered 24inch, 120g Remy real human hair extensions in the color 04 medium brown (link below) for 56$. They arrived on time and I was really surprised by the quality. The color was almost perfectly matching mine!
It comes as a set of 7 pieces. Two 1 clip, two with 2 clips, 2 with 3 clips and 1 piece with 4 clips.
Here is a picture when I just put them in, before doing anything to them (also typical me).
I wanted them to match my natural hair even more. So I decided to go to a store that sells salon hair products. I got a 12% developer and this bleach, which is supposed to lighten up your hair and add some color to it, without it bein too damaging for your hair.
I only applied it to the ends, to get a kind of ombre-look. So I guess whatever was done to the hair before, this product did not really do anything to it. So not very useful. It only lightend it a slight bit. You cannot even tell it unless you see them in person.
But I read a comment saying you should wash the hair once before wearing it, because it is extremely silky and shiny when you get it. So at least the texture is now pretty much like my hair is. I also cut the ends, because I did not want such long extensions.
And what should I say? I just love it! This is the result without any kind of styling done to my hair or the extensions (or to my face)
More pictures to come!
Have a lovley rest of the Sunday
